January 22 is the Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children. The U.S. bishops have asked that this day be observed in all the Dioceses of the United States as a particular day of prayer for the full restoration of the legal guarantee of the right to life and of penance for violations to the dignity of the human person committed through acts of abortion. A Holy Hour for Reparation and Healing for the Anniversary of Roe v. Wade will be observed at Sts. Peter & Paul Church in Plum on Friday, January 22 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. with Holy Mass celebrated beginning at 6:30 p.m. Please make a special effort on January 22 to attend the Holy Hour and Mass and/or pray the rosary for the full restoration of the right to life in our country and throughout the world. Also, please make a special effort to do penance (e.g., abstain from eating meat) that day in reparation for the violations to the dignity of the human person committed through acts of abortion.
