PERIPHERAL WINDOWS - (Consistent symbolic theme depicting selected aspects of the Catholic Church Year) - windows are numbered thus: Number 1 is next to the Altar on the East side and they continue clockwise around Church
1. ANNUNCIATION - Symbols: Fleur-de-lys and Lilies.
2. IMMACULATE CONCEPTION - Symbol: Monogram of the Blessed Virgin Mary on shield, topped with crown containing five (5) stars.
3. VISITATION - Symbols: Two (2) messenger Angels.
4. ADVENT - Symbols: "Tau" Cross with the serpent of brass, over scroll representing the prophecy of Isaiah.
5. CHRISTMAS - Symbols: Blossoms of Glastonbury Thorn, symbolic of the Nativity: supposed to be the descendent of the thornwood staff planted by St. Joseph of Arimathaea in 63 AD. The "Ansate" (or looped) Cross symbolizes Life and Regeneration.
CENTRAL (triptych) WINDOW - "MATER DEI" - MARY, MOTHER OF GOD & MOTHER OF THE CHURCH - Symbols: Christmas Rose (symbolizing the Blessed Virgin Mary) receiving the Holy Spirit (symbolized by the Dove); Flanking Amber Crescents and Fleurs-de-lys, personal symbols of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
6. EPIPHANY - Symbols: 5-pointed Star of Epiphany, Cross "Crosslet" symbolizing the missionary emphasis of Epihany in suggesting the Four (4) Croners of the Earth and the Spreading of the Gospel. The Three (3) Crowns symbolize the Magi.
7. PALM SUNDAY - Symbols: Gold Orb topped with decorative Cross "Patee", above Palm Fronds symbolizing Victory (after the palm leaves strewn in front of the Christ as He entered Jerusalem).
8. Good Friday - Symbols: "Pointed Cross of Passion" with Crown of Thorns and three (3) nails symbolizing the Crucifixion.
9. EASTER - Symbols: "Rayed Cross-of-Glory" with Crown symbolizing Christ and King, Alpha and Omega indicate Christ as the "Beginning and the End" of all things.
10. ASCENSION - Symbols: Soaring eagle above Flaming Chariot. A "Crossed Chi-Rho", the monogram of Christ, superimposed with golden "N" (Nika), meaning Victor or Conqueror.
